When I first read about the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet by Joel Marion, I was extremely sceptical given the presence of oh-so-many scam artists masquerading as ‘trainers’ online. Add to that my sheer inability to maintain my weight in spite of using just about every product out there, and I was a true blue cynic when it came to weight loss ‘solutions’.

Regardless, my interest in Xtreme Fat Loss Diet became piqued when I attended my high school reunion and met a long lost friend who I couldn’t even recognize at first. She had lost a ton of weight from her days in high school, and by chatting with her, I got to know about this plan.

If Xtreme Fat Loss Diet could work this well, I wondered, I may as well give it a try and see where this goes- so I did, and I thank my stars for bumping into my friend that day, because I now have the svelte body I’ve always wanted.

Introduction to Xtreme Fat Loss Diet

I need to state here that Xtreme Fat Loss Diet isn’t for the faint hearted. Like the name suggests, this plan really is extreme even though it isn’t unhealthy. That’s because this e-book consists of 5 ‘principles’ or diet and training days:

  1. The Cheat Day (density training)
  2. The Fast Day (lactic acid training)
  3. The Shake Day (strength training)
  4. The Moderate Carbs Day (dynamic training)
  5. The Protein-only Depletion Day (lactic acid training)

The entire course lasts for 25 days and consists of a 5 day cycle. The Cheat Day is easy since you can eat anything you want on that day- but that’s only because the other days are so challenging. Joel Marion has included a cheat day because when you go on an extreme diet, your body goes into starvation mode, which in turn leads to little or no fat burning. The cheat day allows you to disrupt the starvation mode and get back on track for better weight loss.

Following this great day though is the much-feared Fast Day. I’ll admit here that I had a really hard time getting around this day after the previous day’s binge, but I gradually got accustomed to it as I began drinking tons of water and actually started feeling good and ‘light’ after the Cheat Day.

You need to drink several protein fruit shakes on Shake Day, while the Moderate Carbs Day is a day where you have 30% each of proteins and fats, and 40% of complex carbs.

The last day is the depletion day where you focus on protein intake and perform workouts to burn fat faster.

Though this plan seemed pretty crazy to me at first, I realized (to my pleasant surprise) that I absolutely didn’t starve during the cycles.
